Testing Info

At the end of the quiz year, CMD Bible Quizzing recognizes people, including quizzers, coaches, officials and other adult volunteers, who have memorized and recited verses from our respective clubs throughout the year and who have passed a club test at the end.

The club test is handled in the same manner regardless of the club. The person taking the test randomly draws pieces of paper with the references from a container or bag. There is no time limit for the test. How long the person has to quote the verses is the listener’s decision. People can try as often as necessary. The verses must be recited word-perfect. Sometimes it is best for the person to retest another day after they have spent some time reviewing. If a re-test(s) is needed, all verses are placed back in the container and are selected again.

Club 150: 15 references are drawn with at least five verses quoted based on the reference. The rest of the verses can be quoted as finish-the-verse. Three helps are allowed.

Club 300: 30 references are drawn with at least 10 verses quoted based on the reference. The rest of the verses can be quoted as finish-the-verse. Six helps are allowed.

Club Total Material: 45 references are drawn with at least 15 verses quoted based on the reference. The rest of the verses can be quoted as finish-the-verse. Nine helps are allowed. People can also quote the entire material from start to finish in one sitting. If they choose this option, they can be given one help for about every five verses. It must be obvious to the listener that the person knows the material and is not continually requiring help to quote the material.

The references for the club tests will be posted here at the end of the quizzing year.

Club 150

Every year 150 key verses have been selected for the quizzers to memorize out of the material we are studying that year. These verses have been selected because they are vital to growing in our walk with Jesus and give our quizzers a good base of what our Christian beliefs are founded on. These verses are used in each quizzing division, but a majority of questions created for the C Division are Club 150 verses. These verses are required for all quizzers, and anyone else that is desiring to be a part of Club 150.

The yearly schedule has each chapter broken down week by week, and the key verses are outlined each week. Quizzers recite Club 150 verses at practice each week to a volunteer or coach.

At the end of the year, if a quizzer chooses, they can take a test or challenge for Club 150. If the quizzer passes this challenge, they will receive an award at the final quiz meet.

Club 300

In addition to Club 150, 150 additional verses have been selected and are added to the Club 150 verses to make up Club 300. These verses expand the foundation that Club 150 has laid. Club 300 verses are used widely in the A and B Divisions.

Also included in the schedule are the verses for Club 300 each week. The verses for Club 150 and Club 300 are memorized. Both are needed together to make up Club 300. All Club 300 verses are recited at practice each week to a coach or volunteer.

As with Club 150, at the end of the year, if the quizzer chooses they can take the test or challenge for Club 300. If the quizzer passes this challenge, they will receive an award at the final quiz meet.

Total Material

Unlike Club 150 and Club 300, Total Material is every verse of the material that is being studied. Those quizzing in the A Division are at an advantage if they memorize Total Material.

Every week, those who recite Total Material recite the passage to a coach or volunteer.

Like Club 150 and Club 300, a quizzer may choose to test or challenge for Total Material. If the quizzer passes this challenge, they will receive an award at the final quiz meet.
